Wildland/Forestry Operations

The Aqua-Rack fire suppression system can be used for many different purposes within Forestry Operations. It can be used to soak down the perimeter of a fire, around hazardous or problem areas, or it can be used to enhance fire safety zones - to ensure fire fighter safety in the event of a fire over running their position. It has also been used to eliminate flying dust from rotor wash around helicopter staging areas. The Aqua-Rack system can help reduce the chance of costly escapes on prescribed fires by:


Soaking down the perimeter of a burn area and adjacent fuel types.
Increasing the percentage of moisture in the air adjacent to perimeters (relative humidity).
Eliminating the need for and cost of heavy machinery.
Preventing site degradation and soil disturbance caused by heavy machinery.
Protecting environmentally sensitive areas.
Reducing the cost and time of constructing fire control lines i.e. hand constructed fire guard or wet lines to stop advancing surface fires, or used as control lines for conducting burn off or back firing operations.
Reducing the cost of mop-up and patrol operations.
